Built in 1952 by St. Louis Car as a Hospital Car for the U.S. Government. Retired and sold to Amtrak who rebuilt it into a Baggage/Dormitory Car as part of Amtrak's Heritage Fleet. Retired by Amtrak and sold into private ownership. The car's physical/mechanical attributes include Fair roof and body, OSSH Trucks, tread brakes, H couplers, rotating end cap & oil bath wheel bearings, fair wheels, missing air brake valves, A/C unit incomplete, missing coupler carrier springs, all items stored inside car are not included, 8 crew rooms (see floor plan in listing documents), 1 general toilet and 1 shower. The car will need repairs before it can moved by rail, would suggest shipping by truck.
